Living Accepted, Not Rejected
Wednesday Jun 01, 2022
Wednesday Jun 01, 2022
Continuing with the series, Identity in Christ, this week we're going to talk about rejection. A more in-depth episode is available on this podcast and can be found if you scroll through a few weeks. However, rejection is one of the biggest areas women struggle with that I thought another episode was warranted in this mini-series.
Rejection is brutal and it leaves what feels like a gaping hole in our hearts. But there is hope and healing! God's heart for you is to live free from the pain of rejection as an accepted child of God! You may have experienced the pain of rejection, but that isn't who you are!

Living Victoriously
Wednesday May 25, 2022
Wednesday May 25, 2022
You were created to live from a place of victory! You can live victoriously because Jesus bore your defeat. As we talked about last week, you have been given a position by God - seated in heavenly places with Jesus. It's important to remember that in all the pieces of your identity in Christ, no one can unseat you from a position given to you by God!
This week I want to encourage you no allow anything to define you but God alone! As we talk about victorious living, be encouraged to believe you are not defined by your worst moment or failure.

Positioned in Christ
Wednesday May 18, 2022
Wednesday May 18, 2022
The next piece of our identity in Christ is that we have been seated in heavenly places with Jesus (see Eph. 2:5-6). This is important because it is from this place we live, serve, worship, pray, and are in a relationship with God. We aren't working for it.
From = already given and dependant upon the finished work of Jesus.
For = working, earning, trying to achieve and dependant upon ourselves

Identity in Christ - Mini Series
Tuesday May 10, 2022
Tuesday May 10, 2022
The topic of identity is one I am very passionate about! It is the mission of She Rises that every woman would know the truth of who they are in Christ and set aside anything holding them back from living from that truth.
This week we're covering the piece of your identity of being fully and completely loved right now at this very moment. His love for you is perfect and unfailing. He couldn't love you any more than He does right now! Even in your imperfections, flaws, ups and downs, mistakes, and failures.
Excited to connect with you this week! Learn more about Susan and her ministry, She Rises at https://www.sherisesmn.org/.

Your Inner Circle
Tuesday May 03, 2022
Tuesday May 03, 2022
You've maybe heard the quote, "Show me your friends, and I'll show you your future." It is so true that who we surround ourselves with matters.
In this week's episode, we will talk about our inner circle - our tribe and apply biblical support to the importance of having healthy relationships. I'll share a few specific things to look for in who you allow in your inner circle, and while it isn't an exhaustive list, these things will be a great start!

When Forgiveness Feels Hard
Tuesday Apr 19, 2022
Tuesday Apr 19, 2022
This week I wanted to connect with you over the topic of forgiveness. Forgiveness is a multi-layered topic, and while I know this episode only scratches the surface, I hope it encourages you that God will help you forgive when it's hard.
This week, one major takeaway is not to allow what happened to keep you stuck in unforgiveness, bitterness, unresolved anger, or resentment. That is a prison! And God never created you to live imprisoned to events of your past! Forgiveness is a process, one that can take some time.

Warring Woman with Monica Delaurentis
Wednesday Apr 06, 2022
Wednesday Apr 06, 2022
This week we are joined by my friend, Monica DeLaurentis. We cannot be more excited to have Monica with us this year at She Rises! Her passion for the Lord, reaching people with the love of Jesus, and living her one life with intention are inspiring and will spur anyone on in their faith.
If anyone feels discouraged at the world's current reality, if the Lord is at work, or if people who seem opposed to the gospel can be changed, this episode is for you!
After many years of addiction, Pastor Monica found the love of God and was compelled to go to the streets with it. She worked in homeless shelters while attending North Central University. It was here that she began to grasp a vision of how God can meet the needs of hurting people by providing a place of refuge, fellowship, and healing.
Pastor Monica put her vision into action as she started, the ICCM Life Center, in 1993 from her home in the poorest and most crime-ridden neighborhood in the Twin Cities.
Pastor Monica and her husband Pastor Chris have dispatched launch teams to plant churches in Miami, New York, and Seattle and have pioneered inner-city churches in Chicago, St. Paul as well as a Hispanic church.
Pastor Monica has been married for 30 years and has two adult children. Pastor Monica’s passion is to see lives changed through the power of Jesus Christ.

Finding Joy in the Small Things with Andrea Sandefur
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
Joining me this week all the way from Alaska is my friend, Andrea Sandefur. Andrea has been on the show in the past and just like our last conversation, this one has such depth and transparency. I so appreciate that!
Let's choose to be women who see value and joy in the seemingly small things in life because they matter too! Let's choose to be women who want to hear "Well done" by the Lord, not the applause of the crowd.
Andrea Sandefur is a civil engineer turned stay-at-home mom and singer-
songwriter who lives in south-central Alaska. Mom of two and wife to her high school sweetheart, she enjoys serving alongside friends in her local church Bible study and worship ministries.
Andrea plays piano, leads worship at her church, and enjoys writing songs about what God is revealing of Himself as she meditates on His word. One
of her favorite activities is encouraging creative artists in her congregation through planning and hosting Arts for the Kingdom events, which are events that honor God through contributed expressions of art and music. Andrea enjoys life in Alaska with her family through gardening, fishing, hunting, and snow machining.
Creative Work:
Podcast host for the Creatively Christian Podcast.
Contributing singer, pianist, and songwriter in Wasilla Bible Church: Psalms
Project including original settings of Psalm 121 and Psalm 134.

Creator of over 30 songs including fan favorites like:
o By Grace We Have Been Saved
o We Get to Shine
o Hope Has Come
o October Snow (piano instrumental)
Newest Music (released November 2020): Hope Has Come, a Christmas album
containing simple piano and vocal arrangements of original music and familiar
seasonal favorites; available through website and streaming sites.
