Is it just me or can you feel how busyness tries to take over life and especially the things that you value most? No matter what season of life one finds themselves in, I think we have all had to make adjustments from time-to-time to keep first things first.

The story in the Bible of Mary and her sister Martha has been on my heart recently and that's what I wanted to connect with you about this week - how to stay devoted when life feels busy and full of distractions.

RebuildingTrust

We've all experienced it - mistrust in a relationship. It usually happens when someone betrays confidence or does something equally hurtful. Sometimes it happens when a trusted friend changes their mind about us and withdraws their support and willingness to be present in our lives.

The walk-away friend. That's such a hurtful time in anyone's life; one that makes it difficult to put ourselves out there and trust people again. Yet, God never created us to live alone and in isolation. You and I were created for community. 

So, if we understand that, how do we begin to rebuild trust and create a healthy community in our lives? In this week's episode, I want to share a few tips God has helped me with in rebuilding trust in people so I can have a healthy community.

Overcoming Rejection

"I'm grateful for rejection because it helped me better understand and appreciate God's acceptance of me."

Gulp! I know, I know those words "grateful for rejection" can make one's mind go tilt-tilt! Trust me, I didn't reach that place in my faith overnight. But I can honestly say that when we, with God's help, allow the pain of rejection to deepen our relationship with Him, we will rise from that pain deeply rooted in His truth.

This week's episode is much of what I wrote in one of the chapters in my newest book, Her Heart is Free, which was released fall of 2020. I hope this episode is encouraging to you and spurs you on in your faith.

Rising Brave with Paula Ellefson

I'm excited to introduce you to one of the featured speakers at the Annual She Rises Women's Conference! My friend, Paula Ellefson joined me a few weeks ago to share her thoughts on living as a brave woman and I know you will love her heart just as much as I do!

Paula leads well, is authentic, and cares for others. She is committed to pointing people to Jesus and the message she carries of the love and grace she has received from Him is having a large impact for the Kingdom.

Kingdom Women Don't Shrink Back

We are well into the series, Kingdom Women! It's been such a great series! This week I wanted us to connect over the topic of not shrinking back and no longer apologizing for the gifts the Lord has placed within us or the area He has called us to.

Here me - a woman's place is wherever He places her! Whether it's a stay-at-home mom, a CEO, a leader in her church, or a store clerk if He has placed her there, it is intentionally! 

When you and I fully lean into who God created us to be, using the gifts He's given us, we are being faithful to Him! It's never really been about us; it has always been about Him!

Ready to Rise with Jo Saxton

In the Kingdom Women Series, I wanted to be sure we addressed the topic of rising to fulfill God's plan and purpose for your life. Maybe the words being created with and for a purpose is something new to you; that's okay! Let's start there!

You are not a mistake or a mere afterthought. God created you intentionally, with, and for a purpose. He placed gifts within you and as His creation, you are carrying God-given potential. What you are carrying is needed in the world; it has value and a place at the "table."

I couldn't think of anyone better to kick this topic off than Jo Saxton. In this week's episode, we talk about her newest book, Ready to Rise. I wholeheartedly believe after this episode you will be spurred on to pursue all God has for you. Getting Back Up with Elle Roetzel

We are continuing with the series, Kingdom Women and this week's episode is the final episode on the topic of Kingdom Women Get Back Up. On this topic of getting back up, I brought a couple of friends on the show to share part of their story of overcoming significant challenges in hopes of encouraging listeners that yes, in this life we all get knocked down but because of Jesus, we can get back up!
