Stay the Course!
Tuesday Nov 24, 2020
Tuesday Nov 24, 2020
Back in September our pastor gave a message on the importance of not drifting in our faith. Here it is the end of November and I am still marinating in that message! It was that good!
Gosh, the world is so loud nowadays! Someone recently said she didn't know what to believe in things she was reading and hearing because she doesn't know what is factual anymore. Needless to say, opinions, articles, ideas, theories, etc are not in shortage!
It has had me thinking a lot about that message back in September. In this week's episode, I want to share some of my thoughts as I have sat in that message now for two months. The importance of knowing what is true and understanding truth isn't merely a good word, truth is a person - Jesus.
We can be people who are fully anchored in His truth even when the winds of adversity are blowing and the waves are crashing in around us.
Be encouraged, friend! God's got you! I am excited to connect with you today!

Freedom in Christ with guest Beckah Shae
Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
I had a chance to sit down with my friend, Beckah Shae recently to talk about freedom in Christ. You may know her as a Christian music artist and you would be correct; her music has been heard in numerous countries and she has been nominated for two Dove Awards.
She has a passionate faith and unapologetically points others to Jesus as our Source for everything. It was a joy to have Beckah on the show and I have no doubt you will be spurred on in your faith through this week's interview. We are excited to connect with you!

Be the Reason Someone Feels Seen
Tuesday Nov 10, 2020
Tuesday Nov 10, 2020
The other day I was asked if I missed being the Store Manager of a nationally-known women's clothing store. In all honesty, I sometimes miss those days! Since that question was asked, I've been thinking about my time with that company.
It was a struggling store when I was promoted to the Store Manager position but together with my amazing team, we turned the store and within a year it was ranked in the top 100!
Along with God's favor and blessing, there were specific things we did to turn that store. They each centered around helping the women who came through the doors feel valued and seen. The things we utilized as a team in that store can help us make others feel valued and seen in what often feels like a self-absorbed world.
Can't wait to connect with you today!

Redefining Success and Living as Enough
Tuesday Nov 03, 2020
Tuesday Nov 03, 2020
Comparing ourselves with others has been around for years; it's nothing new. Women have compared themselves to others using what they see in another as a measuring stick. We think what we see others doing is the definition of success and once we achieve what we see, we will finally feel enough.
Sound familiar? Ever fall into that trap? Me, too. Too many times to count, if I were being honest.
Feeling not enough can hinder your ability to reach higher in your faith and God wants to change that! His heart is to set you free from striving on the proverbial hamster wheel!
Let's connect and talk about it!

Being a Light in the World with guest, Karen Hagan
Tuesday Oct 20, 2020
Tuesday Oct 20, 2020
This week I am joined by my friend, Karen Hagan. Karen is a returning guest who first joined me on the show in April 2020. In that episode, we talked about how to respond to COVID-19 as a Church and people of faith.
A lot has changed since April! Not only is COVID still a reality in our world, but racial tensions have also become a needed conversation, not to mention we are deep into the political season that has brought much tension.
How do we as people of faith respond? What does having a bold faith mean? How do we continue shining light for Jesus in a world that seems more and more dark? Let's connect and talk about it!

Galatians 5:1 tells us it is for freedom Christ came to set us free. Freedom is God's heart for you and for me. This entire year has been all about God setting my heart free from things that I had carried for several years.
Hallelujah!
Taken from my newest book, Her Heart is Free, I wanted to invite you in this week's episode to live fully present today while taking steps toward your future self.

If it Costs You Your Peace, It's too Expensive!
Monday Sep 28, 2020
Monday Sep 28, 2020
Friend, if I had to come up with the top three things 2020 has taught me, one would be this - if it costs me my peace, it is too expensive! This year I have taken an inventory of things that have made me feel unsettled and then I made some adjustments!
.
.
Living in peace is God's will for you! It's a gift given to you and me for our minds and hearts.

Caring for Your Mental Health with guest, Dr. Crystal Collier
Monday Sep 21, 2020
Monday Sep 21, 2020
If there were to be one thing each of us could agree on in 2020, it's that this year has been challenging in so many different ways. Challenges related to jobs, kid's sports, schools, churches, physical and emotional health. It would also be very accurate to say maintaining one's mental health has proven to be challenging for some.
And it is no surprise. 2020 does not reflect a "normal" way of living. Isolation and the constant bombarding of media can take a serious toll on our mental health.
In this episode, it is my desire to foster a place for you to find support if you're finding it difficult to maintain your mental health. Three big things I hope you take from this episode are:
You are not alone
You matter
Your life matters
In fostering this space for others to find support, I was honored to have my friend, Dr. Crystal Collier on the show a few weeks back. This is a needed conversation and Dr. Crystal is a recognized voice in this field. You can learn more about Dr. Crystal on the following platforms:
