Tuesday Jun 09, 2020
Tuesday Jun 09, 2020
Have you ever wondered what it means or what it "looks" like to live your life out loud? Are you feeling a little stuck in life? Many of us want to pursue our best lives, but there are very real things that stand in the way. Things such as fear and doubt.
If you're feeling stuck in life and are looking for a nudge to help spur you on, this episode is for you! I invited my friend, Tricia, to help us push through anything making us feel stuck and begin living our lives out loud.
Tricia shared a couple of resources as suggestions to offer further help:
Crash the Chatterbox (book) by Steven Furtick
The Way of the Warrior (book) by Graham Cooke

Bridging the Divide of Racism with guest, Rosemary Klass
Wednesday May 27, 2020
Wednesday May 27, 2020
I believe as Christ-followers we are the Body of Christ and with that, when one hurts, we all hurt. My heart has been grieved, along with many others, at the racism that still exists in our country. In light of recent events that resulted in the loss of the lives of black men, I felt compelled to reach out to my dear friend, Rosemary. She's Rosie to me!
We've logged a lot of miles together over the years. We have served alongside one another many times, prayed together, stood in the trenches with one another, rejoiced with and for one another. We have shared losses and heartache with one another. Rosie is a very special sister/friend to myself and many others. Rosie is also a black woman who has experienced racism herself.
I invited her to have a candid conversation with me not only about the topic of racism but how we all can be part of a solution.
And now together, we invite you to join in the conversation and from there, to see how you can be part of the solution in your sphere of influence.

When You Feel Like You're too Much
Wednesday May 27, 2020
Wednesday May 27, 2020
Are you settling for less than God's best for your life? Are you settling because it feels safe? Are you settling out of what others may think of you stepping out to fulfill God's plan for your life? Do you find yourself shrinking back or withdrawing when around certain people?
Take heart, you have a friend in me!
There comes a time when each of us have to draw some hard lines; lines we are no longer willing to compromise. God did not create you to live timid and afraid, He created you a woman of faith and courage! I know this message will spur you on to step out and pursue all He has for you! I can't wait to connect with you!

Stop Watering Dead Plants
Tuesday May 19, 2020
Tuesday May 19, 2020
What a title, right?! Before you think I'm going to talk about how to maintain your garden this season or encourage you to discover your green thumb, let me reassure you that isn't the topic of this week's episode!
I wanted to invite you into a conversation about doing something all of us have to do at some point - the ebb and flow in relationships and the things we give our energy to. Often people are in our lives, and we in theirs, for a reason and season.
Sometimes it isn't a relationship that is changing, but something we have given our time, energy, and resources to and the season has come to an end. Trusting God in these times is essential in following the Lord where He leads.
Push that play button and let's connect!

You are Seen with guest, Jen Jones
Monday May 11, 2020
Monday May 11, 2020
"She knows she's seen by the One who matters so she stops trying to be noticed by others." It's probably a fair estimate that I've said this at every She Rises event, whether a one-day event or the annual two-conference, I've included it in books and blogs I've authored, study groups, and one-on-one sipping coffee with a friend.
Why? Because I so strongly believe it is true! Life and how you lead yourself will make a trajectory type change when you live from a place of being fully seen by the Lord.
Connect with me and my guest, Jen Jones, as we have a conversation about being seen versus being noticed.

Living a Surrendered Life with guest, Essie Rouser
Monday Apr 27, 2020
Monday Apr 27, 2020
This week's episode we're talking about what it means to live a life surrendered to God and His plan for our lives. This is such an honest conversation about how we often feel hesitant in living a surrendered life and yet even in the wrestling it out with Him, He invites us to bring those hard questions to Him.
In a world where many are running hard and fast hustling to see things unfold in their lives, this conversation offers such a refreshing, and timely reminder, of what it looks like to live a life surrendered.

BONUS Episode: A Quick Word on Comparison
Saturday Apr 25, 2020
Saturday Apr 25, 2020
Are you comparing yourself in some way to someone you either see in person or online? In this quick bonus episode, I want to speak words of freedom over you.
Be yourself, everyone else is taken. - Oscar Wilde
There will always be someone who seems prettier than you.
There will always be someone seems more popular than you.
There will always be someone who seems more talented than you.
There will always be someone who seems more educated than you.
There will always be someone who seems thinner than you.
But there will only you. And you are just what the world needs!

People Pleasing with guest, Dr. Jessica Rothmeyer
Tuesday Apr 21, 2020
Tuesday Apr 21, 2020
I'm so excited to introduce you to my dear friend, Jessica Rothmeyer! In this episode, we talk about people-pleasing; a topic we all have experienced in some way. So often the motive in wanting to please people stems from not fully understanding who we are in Christ.
When we live from a place of knowing who we are in Christ, it allows us to be in healthy relationships with others without seeking from those relationships what we already possess in Christ.

Stewarding What Matters with special guest, Tim Vandenheuvel
Tuesday Apr 14, 2020
Tuesday Apr 14, 2020
Such an exciting episode! This week I am joined by my husband, Tim. We will celebrate 30 years of marriage this fall. Of those thirty years, I have been in ministry for eighteen and of those eighteen, Tim and I were in ministry together for eight. Those eight years were spent equally divided - four in youth ministry and four in marriage ministry.
While in ministry together, we both were bi-vocational and raising our daughter. We have learned a few things along the way! With that, we thought it would be fun to offer a few tips we've learned in how to steward each of those areas well.
