Standing Up to Fear

Fear especially shows up when we need to make a decision or need direction. Becoming a Confident Female Leader with Rachael Jenneman

This week, we're joined by my friend, Rachael Jenneman to talk about becoming a confident female leader. In all the years of engaging in this type of conversation, I have to say that how Rachael approached this topic was top-notch. She models integrity and it shows in this conversation.

One big takeaway is this - in a world that tells us men and women cannot co-labor together or that to get ahead, women need to push men out of the way, we can choose to be women who respect our male colleagues and still lead confidently.

Becoming a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit

For the woman who feels like quitting, we believe this episode will help you not only identify why you want to quit but help you push through those feelings.

In this episode, we'll see that quitting and letting go of something the Lord is finished with (a season has ended) are two different things. Feelings to quit are secondary feelings to an underlying issue.

Lacking Support and Encouragement

One of the biggest reasons people quit things they once were passionate about is because they feel unsupported and encouraged. We've all been there and will experience these throughout our lives so it isn't that we need to work harder to avoid them, but rather how to keep going despite of them!

When You Feel Misunderstood

Continuing with the theme started a couple of weeks ago on what things to expect when you step out into something new or decide to go all-in with your faith, this week we will focus on how to handle being misunderstood.

Often, people attach their thoughts or expectations on others about how to do something rather than allowing them to grow and become all the Lord has called them to be.

Prayer as a Weapon

We're wrapping up the series on the Armor of God this week with a conversation about prayer. It is one of the most under utilized parts of our armor, yet so powerful against the enemy!

The Sword of the Spirit

This week, we're learning what the sword of the Spirit is and how to use it effectively! Continuing to use the Roman soldier as a metaphor for the Armor of God, the soldier could have all the other pieces of his armor but without his sword, the soldier would be a sitting duck - vulnerable and defenseless! 

Without the sword of Spirit in our hands, spiritually speaking, we are ineffective at engaging in spiritual warfare.

The Helmet of Salvation

To "wear" the helmet of salvation properly we need to understand what salvation is. In this week's episode, we'll look at key Scripture verses to understand what we're saved from and by whom. 

For the Roman soldier, the helmet was a fitted piece of armor that covered his ears, and facial area, and for some, offered small protection over the eyes. We will also consider how our helmet of salvation offers us protection in those same areas.
